PRIVACY POLICY — SIDESUS

SideSus ("we", "us") is a service operated by SideSus as a sole trader based in the UK. We are the "data controller" for the information described here. Questions? Email hello@sidesus.com.

Your idea text: the description you type in to be researched.

Your email address: if you ask us to email you a report or sign up for updates.

Payment information: if you buy a paid report. Payments are handled by Stripe; we do not see or store your full card details.

Basic technical data: like general usage and device or browser info, to keep the site working and improve it.

To research your idea and show you a report: necessary to provide the service you asked for (contract).

To email you a report you requested: to provide the service you asked for.

To take payment for a paid report: to perform our contract with you.

To send you marketing or updates: only if you have given us consent; you can withdraw it any time.

To keep the site secure and improve it: our legitimate interest in running a safe, working service.

Publish your idea publicly or share it with other users. Your idea is private by default. We cannot promise it can never be seen by anyone (no online service can), but we do not make ideas public and do not sell them.

We use trusted third party services to run SideSus. They only process data on our behalf:

Stripe: payment processing.

Anthropic and Tavily: to power the AI research (your idea text is sent to these to generate your report).

Supabase: to store reports and emails securely.

Resend: to email reports to you.

Lovable and Cloudflare: to host the site.

Some of these providers are based outside the UK (including the USA). Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an equivalent) to protect your information.

We keep ideas, reports and emails for as long as needed to provide the service and for a reasonable period after, then delete them. You can ask us to delete your data sooner (see Your Rights).

Under UK data protection law you can: ask for a copy of your data; ask us to correct or delete it; object to or restrict certain uses; withdraw marketing consent at any time; and ask us to stop using it. To do any of these, email hello@sidesus.com and we will respond within one month.

We use only essential cookies needed to run the site, plus a privacy friendly, cookieless analytics tool that does not track you across sites. Because our analytics is cookieless, we do not use a cookie consent banner.

If you have a concern, please contact us first at hello@sidesus.com and we will acknowledge it and try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk.
